About Goa Fishing
Fishing has always been a passion now a career for proprietor Mr. Anthony (Tony) Estrocio. Tony resides in Dona Paula, which is centrally located in Goa. He is a licensed commercial/sports fisherman, also a commercial/sports diver. Being a diver his knowledge of fishing extends both, above and as well as below the waters. He has been in this trade since his childhood; he has knowledge of vast array of fish species and the types of fishing. He is very familiar with most of the surrounding waters and the seabed along the Goa Coast. There’s nothing more he rather do, then go catch fish.
Off shore fishing, is at its best in October into December, for big Finger Mark, Emperor Snapper, Threadfin Salmons, Large Groupers, Cobia, Barracuda, GT’s, Spanish Mackerels, Wahoo, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Sail Fish.
In shore fishing / river fishing are always very productive, all year round, we have very good average, 80-90 cms size Barramundis and many exceeding 100cms mark, we also have decent size large Mangrove Jacks too. We fish the estuaries and deep into the rivers of the Mandovi and Zuari.
We have a large collection of quality equipment, of all classes, from light, medium, to heavy tackle. Rods; Shimano, Diawa, Penn, and Rapala. Multipliers; Shimano, Abu Garcia, Daiwa and Penn. Spinning reels; Shimano, Okuma, Pen, and Daiwa. We use braided lines on all our reels. Lures; Rapala, Yo-zuri, Predetex, Shimano, and Halco. Metal jigs, poppers, soft/hard lures, and fighting butts and harness. We have several methods of fishing to assist you in your fishing expedition. Trolling, spinning, popping and jigging. Reef fishing, bottom fishing, river fishing and night fishing. We fish with, lures, jigs, soft plastics, flies, fresh cut baits /live baits.
We will provide you with all fishing tackle, bait, lures, and ice, however anglers are welcome to bring their own gear if they wish so, we will make every effort to customize the fishing trip to meet our anglers needs.
No fishing license is required.
Our Boats
All our boats are IRS certified, having COP license to carry passengers. (Indian Registry of Shipping) (Captain of Ports.) Approval to carry out business from the Tourism Department. Having international standard in life saving equipments, insurance cover for passengers, crew and vessel. For off shore fishing you will be fishing on our 26 foot custom built boat, having GPS, fish finder and rod holders, and in-shore fishing you will be fishing on our 18 foot custom built boat, having GPS, fish finder and rod holders.
All you need to bring.
Sun screen cream, cap, polarized sun glasses, and a camera. You are also welcome to bring your own tackle if you wish so. Contact us for booking your trips in Goa.
